Palm oil shares have been a fertile ground for TMI with notable successes including New Britain Palm Oil, 816p, which has more than doubled since last December's tip at 359p and REA, 740p, which has made a quick-fire 50% gain since featuring as a main write-up in July. As with every commodity play, what we always look out for is a combination of solid production growth and a little help from rising prices and MP Evans, a fast-growing Indonesian-based concern, fits the bill nicely. In the last three years MP Evans has increased its planted up area from 18,000 hectares (ha) to 29,500 ha but the exciting thing is that its stated objective is to ultimately increase this to 60,000, which is no idle dream, given its strong balance sheet ...
