When we first met with Chemring's chief executive, Dr. David Price, nearly six years ago the company's prime activity, supplying decoy countermeasures (such as flares and chaff) to protect military assets from missile attacks, was literally flying high after winning the largest contract in its history with the US Department of Defence.
