Results from high end wallpaper and fabrics group, Walker Greenbank were at the top end of expectations. On sales, which rose 2.4% to £38.3m it grew pretax profits 11% to £2.7m. Eps was up almost 15% to 3.8p. In the UK sales rose 5.6%, with key brands Harlequin, Sanderson and Morris doing well, while it successfully launched Scion, a new interiors brand aimed at younger customers. Encouragingly, licensing income rose 19% to £0.8m with strong growth in Japan.
