Johnston Press has once again demonstrated why it is regarded as oneof the best run regional newspaper groups in the UK.  In a tradingupdate ahead of its December 31 year end the company announced that profit would be "ahead of analysts expectations" thanks to good cost control, but also better than expected revenue growth thanks to improved advertising sales.  These grew 4.9% for the five months to 30 November, thanks to continued strong performance from property advertising, and an improvement from recruitment advertising and national display advertising.  Meanwhile, circulations of its weekly titles are on course to record their eighth successive year of growth, leaving the daily titles as the only area in decli ...
