Another to have produced a sparkling January trading statement is Majestic Wine, which recorded like-for-like sales growth of 7.4% for the eight weeks to 31 December. Chief executive, Tim How, noted that this success was broadly based with wines from Bordeaux, Loire, Southern France, South Africa, New Zealand and Chile all selling very well, while Champagne and beer sales also grew strongly.  Meanwhile, Majestic again enjoyed good growth in customer numbers, with its database growing by 10,000 to 320,000.Our recommendation to take part profits at 927p (for a gain of 87%) looks well timed with the shares likely to consolidate at these levels in the short term.  Hold the remainder.  ...
