Over the month, we met with James Gibson, co-founder and chief executive of Big Yellow, the largest provider of self storage in the UK. Big Yellow has recently enjoyed a spell of rapid growth with turnover having increased more than nine-fold to over £33m in the last four years, turning a small loss into a near £10m pretax profit. And its property development gains have been even more staggering, which in turn has fuelled a massive surge in the share price.
