Following our second meeting with Roger Goodwin, finance director of Chinese zinc producer Griffin Mining, we are now confident that this AIM-listed mining firm will deliver on its existing prospects in ’07. Quite simply it possesses all the aces that make up a terrific growth stock and after achieving first production on time and on budget, it is now pressing the accelerator with a major expansion program. An update this month stated that Griffin was on track to more than double current output to 750,000 tonnes of zinc ore by 2008 and this couldn’t have come at a better time, given that the zinc price has quadrupled in the past two years.
