Financial spread betting firm IG has continued its remarkable purplepatch with its trading update for the six months ended 30 Novembernoting that sales have increased a remarkable 53% to £85m. IG’s financial division is expected to show growth in excess of 58%and has experienced record levels of transactions and new accountopenings throughout the period. Both the spread betting and CFDoperations have also performed well. Internationally, the picture is also rosy with both itsestablished Australian division and start-ups in Singapore and Germanygrowing well. Meanwhile new offices were opened in Madrid and Parisduring November while IG now has a foothold in the US following itsrecent acquisition of Hedgestreet. ...
