Cheap pizza delivered efficiently to your door appears to be the order of the day in these chastened times with Domino's Pizza being one of the few bright spots around. In a sparkling trading update, which beat market expectations, the company noted that system sales for the year to 28 December increased 18.4%, of which the like-for-like sales growth was ahead 10%. Underlying sales for the important 13 weeks to 28 December were ahead 8.6% against strong comparatives (+14.8%) last time. Meanwhile, its e-commerce platform also made good progress with sales rising 74% to almost £56m. During the year Domino's also opened 52 new franchised stores taking the total to 553.
