Tarsus - Dubai Airshow drives strong growth

Business events organiser, Tarsus expects trading in 2009 to be in line with expectations, with like-for-like revenue increasing 11% (1% excluding currency movements). Emerging Markets (33% group revenues) was the star, led by the Dubai Airshow, which delivered revenues 19% ahead of the previous edition in 2007, while re-bookings for 2011 are substantially ahead of the previous cycle. The other strong performer was Labelexpo Asia, which grew revenues 46%. Meanwhile, in Europe, its French business performed in line with expectations, with revenues declining 12% compared with 2008 even though attendances rose 3%.
