The success of TMI portfolio favourites Petrofac, (PFC; 1615p) and Kentz, (KENZ; 386p), which provide support services to the oil & gas industry, confirm the truism that it's often the ‘picks and shovels’ players rather than the prospectors themselves that are most likely to profit from any gold rush. And the same could soon be said for Shaft Sinkers, a specialist in the sinking of deep shafts for the mining industry, which was quietly introduced to the Full List on 23 December at 124p by broker Arbuthnot.
