Given the twin risks of an oil price super-spike and another lock-up in bank lending it might seem counter-intuitive to believe that the commercial aerospace industry would be doing anything other than battening down the hatches. But the sector is dominated by two gorillas, Boeing and Airbus, who always take a long-term view on investment decisions.
