NCC's interim results were in line with revenues rising 13% to £48.1m and pretax profit increasing 6% to £10.9m. The rate of growth was lower than previous periods due to tough comparables in H1 2012 (which benefited from a large one-off contract) and softer trading during the Olympics. In spite of the £7.9m outlay on acquisition payments net debt rose just £4.8m to £28.1m, against bank facilities of £37m.Within the escrow division, essentially an insurance service in which it sits between a software developer and its licensee, holding critical material (usually source code), which it will release if a developer goes bust, operating profit rose 2% to £7.7m.
