Sports Direct - "Super stretch" bonus scheme targets increased

Decent interims for the 26 weeks  to 28 October were given added glitter by news that Sports Direct's “super stretch†bonus scheme is increasing its EBITDA targets for the year to April 2014 and 2015 by £20m to £310m and £360m respectively. The other piece of good news overshadowing results is that the OFT has decided not to refer Sports Direct's opportunistic purchase of 20 stores from the administrators of  stricken rival, JJB Sports. Results themselves were strong with revenues rising 22% to £1.09bn, EBITDA increasing 17% to £163m and eps up almost 30% to 16.1p.
