Shares in NMC Health, which owns and operates five private hospitals and three medical day care centres across the United Arab Emirates, have motored ahead since we recommended them two months ago (at 363p) but we believe there's plenty more where that came from. While factors such as poor lifestyle choices, causing increased incidences of certain diseases, are clearly playing into its hands the success driver to its growth has been Abu Dhabi's move to make medical insurance compulsory for all, which helped NMC almost quintuple net profit from US$12.4m to US$59m in the three years ended December 2012.
