The shares moved serenely to a new high of 769p and have more than doubled from our main buy tip in October 2012, helped by half year results showing a 23% rise in turnover to £1.34bn while underlying EBITDA gained 12% to £183.3m. It would have risen 20% but for £13m start-up losses related to the acquisition of Republic. The UK Sports Retail division increased turnover 13% to £903m, the highlight being 43% growth in online sales, which now comprises 15.5% of the total, while EBITDA rose 17% to £168m.
