In line with its new “quickening the pace†strategy to accelerate eps growth, business events organiser Tarsus has acquired a 50% interest in China International Brand Underwear Fair, a leading underwear garments show held each May in Shenzhen. The Chinese underwear market is the fastest growing globally and is worth US$10bn a year, supported by a strong manufacturing and retail base.Separately, Tarsus has acquired the outstanding 25% it doesn't already own in Turkish events business IFO while it has also sold a stake in its French business as it continues to reduce exposure to this sluggish region.
