Having threatened to hit new highs of £15 the shares pulled back after Nichols put out a trading update for the year ending December. The company, which makes Vimto and other soft drinks, noted that UK sales fell 0.3% to £84.9m, slightly outperforming the market’s 0.7% decline in challenging conditions.
