Cranswick has announced the acquisition of Dunbia Ballymena, a leading Northern Irish pork processor, which processes around 7,800 UK pigs each week and achieved revenues of £72.4m in the year ended March ’16. Although the price was undisclosed it will enhance eps in FY’18.Earlier, Cranswick’s interim results revealed a continuation of its remarkable purple patch with revenues and pretax profit rising 16% and 24% to £581m and £37.9m respectively, helped by a good first time contribution from Crown Chicken (acquired in April).
