Having turned bullish on the oil & gas sector two years ago, it’s pleasing to see TMI favourites Tullow Oil, 234p and Premier Oil, 95.5p, pushing on nicely. Another stock that should do well is Cairn Energy, whose claim to fame was its staggering Mangala oil discovery in India, which contained 3.7bn barrels of oil equivalent, by far the biggest global find in 2002. Having sold the majority of its interest in Mangala (which was subsequently floated on the Indian Stock Exchange as Cairn India), its portfolio now mainly comprises assets in the North Sea and Senegal.
