ProCook’s maiden interims were bang in line, with revenues up 34% to £32.1m while underlying operating profit fell 27% to £3.3m reflecting more normal levels of marketing compared with lower costs last year due to lockdown restrictions. Encouragingly, gross margins were unchanged at an impressive 67.8% in spite of absorbing £0.6m in higher freight charges. Six stores opened (as well as a London cookery school) and two closed in line with the plan, while a further two in Westfield London and Westfield Stratford City have opened in H2. My first sight of broker forecasts from Peel Hunt show eps of 7.1p for the year to March ’22, rising to 9.2p in FY’23. The broker’s price target is 200p. I am continuing to hold. ...
