As highlighted by its bullish trading statement on 3 October, thewheels are well and truly back on Landround’s wagon, and the shareshave gained 30% since our January tip.For the year ended September 2002, Landround increased pretax profitfrom a depressed £0.16m to £0.86m, despite turnover flat at £7.1m(2001: £7.3m).  Earnings rose 400% to 10.9p.  Operatingmargin, pre-goodwill, rose from 2.8% to 12.0%. This reflected thestrong rebound in Landround’s high margin Voucher and Buy & Flysales.  The former increased from £1.4m to £1.8m after are-organisation of the sales force, the fruits of which were  newtravel promotions with McDonald’s and Thompson Holidays, Shredded Wheatand Samsonite among others ...
