Snack and confectionery food group Glisten provides just the kind of low budget produce that consumers are less likely to cut back on and its AGM statement confirms this to be the case. Indeed, it noted that Glisten has experienced a reasonable start to the year with sales for the first 18 weeks up 15% to £24.3m, while stripping out the contribution from acquisitions the like-for-like growth rate is 5%. Following a deferred payment related to an acquisition, Glisten believes its net debt has peaked with headroom currently £3m and this is now expected to improve as borrowings fall.
