Shares in PZ Cussons, the owner of several well-known personal care brands such as Cussons, Imperial Leather and Carex, have sprung to life with a rise of 38% from their low of 100p although in truth they had fallen to levels that ignored their terrific trading record. In the past nine years operating profit has soared from £22m to £76.5m and given its strong balance sheet and robust investment program, analysts are now confidently expecting profits to smash the £100m mark by 2011.
