Although housing sales remain muted this hasn't stopped self storage operator Big Yellow producing encouraging interims with store EBITDA rising 14% to £18.1m and pretax profit increasing 26% to £9.7m. Helped by a small revaluation gain, adjusted net asset value per share, comprising mainly freehold properties in Greater London and the South, rose 2% to 461p.There was good growth across the portfolio with the 32 established stores (open more than five years) increasing occupancy rates from a low of 68% as at 31 December 2009 to 74% in September 2010.
