Given the world's fixation with resolving the Euro crisis the recent prediction by Goldman Sachs that oil will hit an alarming US$130 / barrel within the next year has almost gone un-noticed. A key catalyst that could make this happen is Iran, which produces an irreplaceable 4.25m barrels of oil per day (bopd) out of world oil production of 80m and could soon be facing economic sanctions over its refusal to stop developing nuclear weapons.
