The shares have rocketed a towering 145p since our main recommendation in August ‘13 at 238p and first half results were strong with revenues up 55% to £11.8m and pretax profit increasing 67% to £3m. Net debt increased from £41m to £47m but the group has just signed a new £25m bank facility and borrowing headroom is now £45m. Meter Asset Management, which procures, installs, maintains and rents smart meters on behalf of gas suppliers mainly in the industrial & commercial (I&C) sector, increased its installed base by 14% to 92,500 assets, with most of this coming through its largest customers, Corona Energy and Gazprom.
