An encouraging second quarter update, which noted a 7% increase in output to 902m units, reflecting a planned maintenance shutdown at Chennai I, which had previously been notified by management and an increase in output from Chennai III, which was commissioned in June last year. The average plant load factor of 82% in Q2’15 and 88% for H1’15 would have been better still but for Chennai I’s planned shutdown.Construction at both its 300 MW Gujarat and 180 MW Chennai IV project sites is being completed and commissioning trials will start in December.With these projects on track shareholders can look forward to eps increasing to 17.9p in the year to March ’16.
