Gaming software group, Playtech, has announced it has raised Eu297m of senior unsecured convertible bonds due 2019, carrying an interest coupon of just 0.5% p.a. Proceeds will fund organic growth and acquisitions with the group believed to be closing in on a bid for bwin.party.Earlier, the company noted that it is closely following developments in Malaysia, which is considering a total ban on online gaming, although it stressed that it remains confident of meeting latest market forecasts for 2014 and beyond.
