Lavendon - Receives two bid approaches

The shares have soared 90p after powered access equipment rental group Lavendon received two  takeover approaches. The first was from Belgian industrial vehicle seller, TVH, of 205p a share, a 47% premium to the price immediately prior to the announcement. This was followed by an approach from Loxam, another European equipment rental group, which made a higher but unspecified cash bid.Earlier Lavendon announced an update for the nine months ended 30 September, which noted revenues rose 9% while results for the full year will now be marginally ahead of expectations.The UK (47% sales) increased revenues 8% thanks to the addition of new equipment, utilisation reaching 74% and better pricing.
