GoCo has agreed to be taken over by high flying digital publisher Future, 1748p, with shareholders to receive 0.052497 new Future shares plus 33p in cash valuing the offer at 136p a share, a 23.6% premium based on the closing price of 110p the day before, valuing GoCo at £594m. The deal marks a leap away from Future’s core area, with its plan to apparently cross-sell GoCo’s products across its online titles. GoCo’s management, including Chairman and largest shareholder Sir Peter Wood (29.65%), have irrevocably voted in favour.A member of Trader Portfolio 1 and originally highlighted at 91p in May ’17 the shares have gained 36%.
