According to the latest insolvency service figures liquidation volumes across England & Wales rose 16% year-on-year in October and were +67% versus 2019. While complex administration volumes (where money is made) remain below pre-Covid levels, they are trending higher and rose 36% year-on year. This ought to benefit Begbies Traynor, whose trading update noted a 13% rise in revenues to c. £66m in the six months ended October and £10m pretax profit, while net cash is expected to be £1.1m. Full year pretax profit expectations are unchanged  (£21.9m-£22.5m).
