Buy-and-build veterinary services group CVS said total sales rose 11.9% (like for like +5.8%) in the four months to 31 October. Adjusted EBITDA margins remained unchanged from the prior period at 19% reflecting continued investment in support functions and clinical care. Its Healthy pet club preventative care scheme increased membership from 479,000 to 499,000 members. In terms of acquisitions it completed another four small animal practice deals bringing the total to nine (11 practice sites) year to date. The uncertainty caused by the CMA review has caused weakness in the shares but when resolved that may provide a good entry point up ahead. The prospective PE is now just 16 (eps: 95.8p).
