Cohort - Shares hit high of 1086p after acquisition

The shares spiked to a high of 1080p after Cohort announced the acquisition of EM Solutions, a high margin, fast-growing Australian producer of satellite communication terminals for £74m, partly funded by a £41m fundraise at 875p and cash and debt facilities. The transaction is materially earnings enhancing with eps upgraded by 20%. EM’s principal activity is the design, assembly, test and support of high end, satellite-on-the-move communications terminals for naval users and broadband radio transceivers for defence and government customers.
