An encouraging performance from Hill & Smith with revenues up 7.5% in the four months to 31st October against tough comparators (FY ’23: +15%). Operating margins are ahead of the same period a year ago driven by good momentum in engineered solutions and high volume demand in the high margin US galvanising business (+13%) with the UK also improving (+7%). The smaller Roads and Security business reported revenue and profit below the same period a year ago. Management expects full year results in line with expectations, with eps forecast to increase from 104.1p to 116.3p and then almost 125p next year.
