Shares in social housing consultant, Hacas, have been on a slow burnsince our original recommendation in February 2001. But this looks set to change, following a startling hike in its growth rate unveiled at the interim results for the six months to 31 March.  The highlightwas a 45% rise in pretax profit to £1.7m, with earnings up 34% to 3.9p.On the back of yet another  upgrade to broker forecasts the shares  spiked up to 127p, before falling back to 119p.  Hacasis the largest UK provider of social housing  consultancy to local authorities and housing associations.
