Shares in EMI have endured a roller coaster ride, hitting  a low of 80p, before staging a dramatic recovery to 139p after the group soothed investors nerves with results in line with expectations for theyear ended March 2003.  Underlying pretax profit rose 16% to £177m, with fully diluted earnings of 15.8p.   While themusic publishing side saw virtually unchanged operating profit of£103.5m, the beleaguered recorded music side nearly doubled its profitfrom £83.1m to £151m, in spite of a 12.6% decline in turnover, thanksto its successful cost-cutting program.  The best selling artistwas Norah Jones, who clocked up 11.6m unit sales, close to 5% of thetotal, with Robbie Williams (2 years running), Coldpla ...
