After continually talking up its prospects for the last 18 months travel promotions specialist, Landround, has delivered with a vengeance. For the six months ended 31 March pretax profit more than trebled to Â£0.95m, exceeding the whole of last year's (Â£0.86m), and within touching distance of the record of Â£1.3m set in 2000. The strong results reflect both large contract wins, including The Daily and Sunday Mail, Toyota and Vodafone and an increase in its Voucher sales. Broker, Evolution Beeson Gregory believes the latter will push up gross margins from 43.8% to 48.5% this year and has upgraded accordingly to a pretax profit of Â£1.65m for eps of 21.3p.
