The shares were thumped after Monstermob released a disappointing trading statement covering the first five months of the year.  Thegroup has experienced unexpectedly fierce competition with many rivals pursuing aggressive, price led advertising campaigns, which Monstermob views as unsustainable.  This, along with its decision to write-off the £650,000 of costs associated with the launch of its new products, such as SEEMEE and Jet Set Club, means that this year's profit will be below expectations.
