Following its announcement that it had received a bid approach, Mayborn has now recommended an offer worth 500p per share in cash. As an alternative, shareholders can elect to take up to 11% of their holding in shares in the acquiring company, Jake Acquisitions PLC. They also have the option of taking the full amount in the form of guaranteed loan notes. On top of the 500p cash offer, shareholders will also receive an interest worth an estimated 13p per share in a newly formed private company, which will hold its Tube Plastics business.
