Spread betting firm IG has issued a positive update, which noted continued growth across all its businesses in its financial year to 31 May, with the result that turnover is expected to increase 35% to £120m. Trading was helped by the higher market volatility in recent months as well as accelerated client recruitment. Encouragingly, IG’s EBITDA margin in the second half was higher than in H1, which was depressed by increased business development but the margin for the year as a whole will be down slightly.
