Synergy Healthcare is to sign an agreement to build a £10m medical device sterilisation facility in Suzhou, China. This new 33,000 sq. metre site will be one of the company’s largest facilities incorporating gamma irradiation, ethylene oxide sterilisation and laboratory and logistics services for medical device manufacturers. The site is expected to open in the first half of 2008.Separately, Synergy is in advance discussions to invest up to £5m to establish hospital sterilisation services in Beijing to assist the Chinese Ministry of Health with a modernisation program of its hospitals.
