Results from Workspace, the provider of flexible office space to small and medium sized businesses, have been somewhat overshadowed by concerns about a rise in the cost of borrowing and the shares have not escaped a wider de-rating in the property sector. Nevertheless, its final results were creditable.For the year ended 31 March, net asset value (NAV) per share rose 43% to 340p, while pretax profit fell 24% to £112.5m. Underlying trading profit before re-valuation surpluses also fell one third to £10.2m, reflecting higher interest charges, more national insurance costs and initial dilution from acquisitions.
