Financial spread betting firm IG has announced an encouraging update, covering the year ending 31 May, which noted that revenue is expected to increase over 50% to £184m, with an EBITDA margin of 53%. The rate of account openings has continued to accelerate, with the UK spread betting side seeing over 2,000 new accounts opened in each of the last five months, double the previous year's run-rate. Elsewhere, the group's Asia-Pacific business,  which comprises the Australia and Singapore offices, is expected to report revenue growth in excess of 115% and will represent 15% of group revenue compared with 10% last time.
