Shares in Interior Services Group (ISG) have taken such a battering that they are now back to where they were when the company floated a decade ago. Back then the company, which provides construction services such as fit-out, new build and project management, was a mere stripling with profits of £4.1m but fast forward to the present and analysts expect it to achieve £13.5m for the year to 30 June. Clearly, investors believe its traditional focus in London's corporate office market is a poisoned chalice but what they don't realise is that ISG has diversified into less cyclical public sector work and buoyant economies overseas and these new areas now account for well over half of fee income.
