The profit warning, which blighted Synergy eighteen months ago has now been fully exorcised by record results. Revenues increased 5% to £286m, pretax profit rose 25% to £32.6m and eps increased 23% to 45.8p. Net debt pleasingly fell from £170m to £133m. Synergy, whose three main activities comprise decontamination services, such as sterilisation of surgical instruments and procedural packs, commercial sterilisation for the food and medical markets and linen management services, has reorganised its business to report across three regions: UK & Ireland, Europe & Middle East and Asia & Africa.
