When we wrote up homewares specialist Dunelm, 410p, last month we noted how it's possible to find the occasional jewel even in a struggling sector such as retail and another company shaping up for a similar run of success is Majestic Wine, which operates a chain of wine warehouses. Majestic has admittedly enjoyed some luck recently, following the demise of two of its major rivals, Oddbins and First Quench but it could be argued that it deserved a little break, given its superlative record as a quoted company, with its shares increasing more than eight-fold in the past 10 years.
