New Britain Palm Oil, which has featured as a main write-up several times in TMI, most recently at 535p in April last year, has seen mercurial share price growth to a new high of exactly 1000p on 13 June. The company has a reputation for easily exceeding market expectations but even by its high standards its recent Q1 update, which noted a 141% jump in turnover and four-fold increase in pretax profit, was a blow out. Not surprisingly, broker Peel Hunt, which had previously upgraded current year eps forecasts by 22% in March, has now raised them again and despite the recent rise in the share price, the forward PE of 12.7 is still inexpensive.
