Following its strong results last year, Shaft Sinkers has announced trading remains in line although performance will be skewed into H2. Revenue has benefited from additional scope of work at its Lonmin Saffy and Hossy shafts but margins have suffered slightly due to some standing time at its Impala 16 and 17 shafts as a result of technical difficulties, which have now been rectified. The rate of sinking of the shaft in Russia at the Eurochem's Volgakaly potash mine has slowed slightly due to difficult ground conditions. However, all other projects remain on track.
