AIM-listed RWS, the leading provider of patent translation and other search services, has chiselled out a highly lucrative niche for itself with sales and pretax profit increasing from £31m and £6m to £65.1m and £16.2m respectively in the past seven years. As you might expect the shares have responded with a stellar climb from a placing price of 112.5p back in November 2003 to a high earlier this year of 560p, before going into remission in the market turbulence.
